Juvenile Crime Prevention Council

Purpose


The purpose of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council is to review the needs of the juvenile population in the county who are at risk of delinquency or who have been adjudicated undisciplined or delinquent, to ensure that appropriate intermediate dispositional options are available, and to make recommendations to the board of commissioners on the level of state funding to be awarded to local delinquency prevention programs.

Meeting Schedule (All Meetings Are Open to the Public)
Due to COVID-19 and the Governor's Executive Order, the JCPC meetings are being held by WebEx.  At this time, the next meeting will be October 13, 2020 at 12:30pm.  If you would like to join the meeting, please contact Melissa Poteat at mpoteat@co.iredell.nc.us for the meeting link and information.  Our meetings are normally the second Tuesday of the month.

JCPC Member Vacancies:
 
-A member of the faith community
-Two persons under the age of 21, or one person under the age of 21 and one member of the public representing the
  interests of families of at-risk juveniles
